Requirements Management

The Requirements Management module allows you to capture the requirements on your project, understand the impact of a change to those requirements and to track such changes to the scope.

Requirements may be high-level business requirements, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, detailed requirements, use-cases and user stories.

Benefits

This module allows you to:

  • Add, update and delete requirements
  • Attach any type of document to a requirement, e.g. interaction diagrams, class diagrams, use-cases, user stories, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Allow stakeholders to comment on individual requirements
  • Capture the dependencies between requirement, e.g. from a high-level requirement to its derived detailed requirements
  • Visualize the dependencies in a traceability matrix
  • Analyse the impact of a change request
  • Track the progress of propagating a change through the dependency hierarchy
  • Define a custom sign-off process for requirements

Who uses it?

The requirements management module is typically used by Business Analysts to capture the requirements on a project or sub-project and to analyse the impact of changing those requirements. It is also used by Test Analysts to ensure that they have written tests for every requirement.
